Very rough idea.. Any input would be appreciated. I think Im leaning toward dropping the drip off and I know the "No" stamp is too big.

Well heres my explanation for the no being on top. I was trying to make it seem like Affiliation was there previously and since this site is about not being associated with a particular club or interest I wanted it to look like its been stamped NO!. So thats what its on top. I think the proportion of tge no is too big and the more im looking at it I dont like the drip.

What do you think about the blazer dragging by? Keep it or lose it?

well if you are just keeping it as a site only thing keep it....if you plan for further things with it then it cant stay lol.

Lol I thought about making a couple of different trucks and having the Header of the site being a flash header and having each one drag by, lol.

i like the flash idea....

i actually like the drip shane.... i was going to suggest making the no look more like a stamp but i just finished reading your post fully lol.

if color was added with the no being red and alittle smaller it would look good plus maybe making the affiliation coloring faded/dull to make it look like it was aged etc....

i again like the flash idea with the cars/trucks/semis whatever it maybe dragging along...crusing....boucing....etc lol but "IF" possible this went anywhere else but a site again cant see the cars/trucks there unless a variety would be included then it just may get to cluttered....
btw not to knock the quick sketch of the mini but it kinda looks like a pt cruiser in a way......

I like that A LOT!!!! I want a sticker to replace mine....lol..my back window is about to be dead,about to pull the ad sticker....

The vehicles wont be in the stickers. It is just there for the flash idea. I just have to figure out how to do it. when I get some time, maybe tomorrow, ill do it up in illustrator/ps and see if its better.

Here is my input on it (good or bad, lol).

I REALLY like the overall thought & look of it. A couple of the changes I would make would be changing the "NO" to look more like a stamp than spray paint. It would really give it that "rejected" look. Kinda like this....


I do also like Reds idea of kinda making the Affiliation look a little tattered & worn. As if it's been around and now being rejected.

Also, me personally I would not put anything for a flash in regards to the trucks. I think that this site is/should be geared more to everyone (motorcycles, cars, truck, hotrods, etc). If you put something like that truck dragging on there and someone from a classic car buff or a MC fan comes on and sees it, it's an automatic turn off. This site was created more to appeal to everyone of all likes. I would also like to see something like "Auto enthusiast site" or "Gear heads" somewhere small on the header. Just to let people know what type of site it is as soon as they click on it. Otherwise you click on it and all you see is that banner. If someone doesn't take the time to scroll through some of the topics, their not going to know what kind of site it really is. This kind of stuff would get people like Pinstripping Mikey and his "group" over this way since they are mostly retro, rat, rod bunch of guys. You can also get Lil Scott & Bucket here with their MC'S, AND SO ON.

Again, this is just my .02 on it. I would like to see it grow and not limit ourselves to just 1 or 2 genre.

I was already ahead of you guys on the stamp. I drew it up this morning. My drawing doesn't look great but it gives you the idea like you are saying. And I can't do all the detils like tattering with my pencil so its still a rough sketch.

And Vic, I was on the fence about the trucks as well that's why if I were to do the flash thing it would have had multiple typed of vehicles cruise by as in a bagged truck, lifted truck, motorcylce, hot rod crotch rocket etc.. I am like you and think it needs something to say that it is geared towards auto enthusiasts and not politics.

I just wish I had some actual training in illustrator or photoshop so that I could do this stuff a little quicker. I get these pictures of how I want stuff to look in my head and then I can somewhat draw them on paper but then when I go to do them digitally, they suck.
